Cancellation must be received one week in advance to receive partial refund. Cancellation received less than one week in advance (unless in an emergency) will not be refunded.
Renter will be considerate of others renting during his/her slot, no loud music, shouting, etc.
Renter must participate in keeping equipment/studio clean.
Studio checklists and rules are posted around studio.
In the hot shop: should any glass fall into the glory hole renter must remove it immediately. Upon completion of blow slot, renter must sweep floor in all areas where glass was used— glory hole, furnace, pipe warmer, crack off bins, annealing ovens, crack off tables, lockers, etc. Remove all frit from marvers and clean marver surfaces with alcohol, remove glass trailed onto front of the furnace, return blocks to block bin, properly stow buckets and dispose of all trash. Return all pipes, punties, tools and molds to their proper storage areas.
In the cold shop: All equipment and table surfaces must be wiped clean of glass and silica residue. Return all tools and supplies to their proper storage areas. Equipment must be dried as described in posted studio guidelines. Floor must be mopped of excess water and cleaned of glass. In this studio renters must be mindful of water spills from drains overflowing—the drains will clog if excessive amounts of glass dust are introduced into the drain lines. To avoid this, we ask that renters use a bucket of water to remove excess glass dust and grit from ground pieces prior to rinsing them in the sink. Empty this bucket out of side door, not into drain.
In the kiln working studio: The flat glass table must be wiped clean and floor swept and mopped. Remove all molds, casting material, glass, etc. from kilns and sweep/vacuum as necessary. Return all tools to their proper storage area.
In the lamp working studio: The table must be wiped clean and floor swept and mopped. Tank and table valves shut closed, lines bled. Torches, tools and glass returned to proper storage areas.
ALL RENTERS MUST CHECK OUT WITH ON DUTY STAFF PERSONEL BEFORE LEAVING THE STUDIO. PLEASE ALLOW YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME FOR CLEAN UP WHEN SCHEDULING YOUR STUDIO TIME!
