NOCGI welcomes NEA Chairman Rocco Landesman!
We are proud to announce that NOCGI has won an Arts Economic Recovery Grant from the National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) through the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism. During his recent visit to New Orleans, Mr. Landesman visited our NOCGI facility to learn more about what we are doing to support New Orleans glass artists and expand Louisiana's cultural economy. Mr. Landesman made New Orleans and our studio the destinations for his first official trip as NEA Chair. Thank you Rocco Landesman!

Christmas Holiday Sale
NOCGI will have special gallery hours for the holiday season. Our show room will be open starting Saturday, November 21st from 12pm-3pm and will be open every Saturday thru December 19th from 12pm to 3pm. We will have glass blowing demonstrations and a make your own glass ornament station during that time. Come shop a variety of glass art made by local artists. This is the perfect place to find a one-of-a-kind gift and support your local artists and community.

Glass Blowing Demonstrations

NOCGI offers Friday Night Glass Demonstrations by local glass artists demonstrating a variety of hot glass techniques. The demos happen once a month and are FREE and open to the public. 

This month:
This month's demonstration will feature Carlos Zervigon on Friday, November 13th from 6pm to 8pm. Carlos is represented by the Cole Pratt Gallery on Magazine Street in New Orleans.  He will be using various hot glass techniques to create a one of a kind glass sculpture inspired by forms found in nature.
